Diabetes prescriptions soar by 50 per cent in six years due to Britain's obesity crisis
Diabetes prescriptions have for the first time topped 40 million a year in England and Wales according to official figures. It comes as a charity chief warns that the condition could bankrupt the NHS within a generation.
